RACE UPDATE
- ALL runners are required to have a signed waiver on file to participate. If you registered via Active.com or via our paper registration form, you have most likely already signed it. Click here if you need a copy.
- On-site registration will be available at Packet Pickup on Friday from 11:00am-8:00 pm or Race Day on Saturday from 5:30-7:00am
- For packet pick-up on Friday, you can park in lot D. Click here for a map.
- For the race on Saturday, you can park in Lot F. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN LOT D ON RACE DAY. Lot F will be closer to the starting line for the race, and will allow for plenty of parking.
- Due to recent events, spectators will not be allowed to carry bags or backpacks.
- Runners with camelbacks or running pouches will be allowed, but are subject to search.
- There will be a gear check for runners needing to check a bag. It will be searched before it is checked in.
Are You SCOUTStrong?
Introducing the 1st annual SCOUTStrong Challenge ½ Marathon and 5K. This event will begin at Sporting Park, with the finish line at mid-field. The post race party and awards will take place in the Members Club, which is accessed directly from the field!
With a challenging, yet scenic and fun course, you will get to run through some of the greatest and most state of the art venues Kansas City has to offer. The course will take you
around the track of the Kansas Speedway on Daytona Drive, through beautiful Wyandotte County Park, past the Agricultural Hall of Fame, the Renaissance Festival, through the Legends entertainment district, and will finish
on the field at Sporting Park.
The ½ Marathon is a perfect challenge for those that have been training over the Winter and Spring, want to run off the Winter cold, or for those training for a full Marathon.
The 5K is a great distance for any runner, and because of the course, will offer a unique running experience. Sprint into Summer with this great race!
The 2013 SCOUTStrong Challenge will offer all the benefits runners expect, and will become an addition to the best races Kansas City has to offer.
